●雪吹茶器とは…雪が乱れ飛びながら吹くことを「吹雪」というが、薄茶器の名称としては上下逆ささに「雪吹」と書く。
形と袖に面が取ってあり、上下の区別がつきにくいことを、吹雪の中を歩いていると上方も足元も定かでないとの意になぞられた呼称といわれている。
無地、または全面あるいは面取部分にだけ蒔絵を施したものなどがある。
