Yamanaka Lacquer Maki-e Artist Born in Yamanaka Town, Ishikawa Prefecture in 1963. Studied under Kiyose Ikko in 1981. Studied under Omote Masanori in 1982. Received the Lacquerware Research Institute Director's Award at the Yamanaka Creative Maki-e Exhibition in 1991. Received the Ishikawa Prefecture Traditional Industry Encouragement Award in 1992. Has won numerous awards at city and prefecture exhibitions, as well as at maki-e exhibitions.
