Born in September 1941 in Haseda-machi, Yamanaka-machi, Ishikawa Prefecture. Became an apprentice lacquer ware maki-e artist in 1969. Became an independent lacquer ware maki-e artist in 1974. Became a winner of the Yamanaka-machi Lacquerware Crafts Exhibition in 1978. Won the Excellence Award at the Yamanaka-machi Lacquerware Maki-e Artist Exhibition in 1983.
