[Second Generation Takakuwa Sensai] Lacquerer from 1986 to 1937 Born in Yamanaka Onsen Graduated from the Industrial Design Department of Kanazawa College of Art in 1960 Learned the basic techniques of Kaga Maki-e from Professor Emeritus Komatsu Yoshimitsu Learned the design philosophy of the harmony of function and beauty from Professor Yanagi Sori After graduating, he studied under his father Sensai and also received instruction in the process of the tea ceremony from tea masters in Kyoto and Kanazawa.
In 1986, he succeeded the second generation Sensai.
In 1989, the first "Ishikawa lacquer bowl" was produced to commemorate the Ishikawa National Athletic Meet and was supervised by a Living National Treasure.
He is currently a member of the Kaga Art Association, Ishikawa Nikakai, and Omotesenke Kisshokai. As a lacquer artist, he handles all types of lacquering.

1925 - October 22, 2010 Born in Kyoto in 1925 (Taisho 14). His name was Kazuhiko, and he was the eldest son of the 11th generation Mutekisai Soya.

[Hisada Family] The name of the Hisada family's hermitage is Hanshoan, which refers to the two-tatami medium-sized tea room built by the third head priest, Sozen.
The Hisada family was the husband of the daughter of the third head priest, Sotan, and is of Rikyu's bloodline. If the family line was in danger of dying out, a son was adopted from the Hisada family.
