Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1954.
Graduated from the Department of Legislative Design at Tama Art University in 1979. Invited to exhibit at the 2nd Contemporary Art Festival sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art, Toyama in 1983. Exhibited a lighting object at the Hannover Messe in West Germany in 1987. Exhibited at the Japanese Studio Glass Exhibition at the Heller Gallery in New York in 1990. Exhibited at the Japanese Glass Exhibition in 1993. Exhibited at the International Glass Art Exhibition IGS;94 in 1994. Exhibited at the Japanese Glass Exhibition in 1996. Selected for the International Glass Art Festival in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1999. Created an outdoor monument for Gulliver's Chair at Portpia, Shinkaichi, Kobe. Won the Members' Division Award at the 1999 Japanese Glass Exhibition. Held numerous solo exhibitions. Currently Representative Director of Nara Glass Studio (PAL Co., Ltd.), Member of the Japan Glass Crafts Association, and Member of the Nara City Artists Association.
