Echizen lacquerware, Fukui Prefecture. Since 1970, he has been trained by Makie artist Issei Minowa. In 1975, he became independent and has been studying as a Makie artist ever since. He was selected for the Echizen Makie Trade Fair and won the Lacquerware Association Award.
