The 11th generation, Tomoko, is his cousin.
The first generation, Tomoko Tsuchida, was one of the Ten Craftsmen of the Sen family and served the Sen family for generations as a bag maker.
The first Shosai was named Tomoko Awayetsu, and devoted himself to training under his father. Later, he married into the Kamei family and became a bag maker. He also changed his pen name to Shosai.
Currently, Shosai succeeds him in December 59.
