Studied under Ryozo Morizato at Sumiyama Craft Village in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture.
1974: Returned to his hometown and opened Sahei Kiln (Sahei inherited his grandfather's name)
1996 Shigaraki Pottery General Exhibition, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Award
1997 Shigaraki Pottery General Exhibition, Asahi Shimbun Award
1999 Shigaraki Pottery General Exhibition, Biwako Broadcasting Award
1999: Certified by the Minister of International Trade and Industry as a Shigaraki ware traditional craftsman
