●Xiangzui is a type of blue and white porcelain that was fired in a private kiln in Jingdezhen at the end of the Ming Dynasty in China upon order from Japan.
This is a skillfully crafted porcelain with a beautiful blue color on a moist surface.
One of his representative works has the inscription "Made by Gora Daiho and Wu Shozui" written in blue and white on the bottom, which makes it known as Shozui.

Born in Awataguchi, Kyoto in 1936
1956 Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Technical School
In 1957, he became a ceramic artist under his teacher (Living National Treasure) Kenkichi Tomimoto.
In 1973, the Kofu Kiln was opened in Higashiyama (Imakumano), Kyoto.
In 1989, the kiln was moved to Fushimi, Kyoto.
Style: Tea pottery and blue and white porcelain, but also studied paintings such as hanging scrolls
