●Dakioke is a bag-shaped jar with a round body, narrow neck, and an open mouth, and is used as a water jar.
A haorioke is also written as kaioke, and it is said that it is used to fill with water and keep close at hand to beat the heat.
The only surviving example of a bucket-holding water jar is the Nanban wool-woven bucket-holding water jar in the Nomura Museum of Art.
The Nanban woolen woven bucket water jar has a body formed by embossing, with carved patterns, and has a rim and three round feet. According to the inscription on the box by the sixth head of the Yabunai school, Hirosai Takein Shochi, it is said to have been owned by Ashikaga Yoshimasa. It was later passed on to Yabunai Soba by Sanjonishi Sanetaka, who then passed it on to Rikyu, and from Rikyu to Yabunai Kenchu, and it was passed down as a specialty of Enan to the sixth head Hirosai. It was then presented to the priest Monnyo of Nishi Honganji Temple, and is said to have been passed down to the Honganji temple thereafter.
