[2nd generation]
Born in Kyoto in 1938. In 1980, he took over the name of the second Koun. He is the nephew of Shinkuzu Kosai and studied under the sixth Shimizu Rokubei. He was a member of the Ceramic Artists Club, but left in 1968 to pursue his own path. In 1982, he held an exhibition at Takashimaya in Kyoto.
