Born in Yamanaka, Ishikawa Prefecture in 1935
In 1953, he studied under the lacquer artist Shimazaki Koei.
1958: Studying lacquer in Kyoto
In 1963, he returned to his hometown and studied lacquer art.
1963: Introduction to the Urasenke Tea Ceremony
1965: Sponsored and exhibited at the Mitsukoshi Lacquerware Exhibition
1974: Urasenke Tea Ceremony: Received the Buddhist name Soga
In 1975, he was selected for the 10th Japan Lacquerware Exhibition, and was subsequently selected for the 11th Exhibition.
In 1976, he became acquainted with Kaisen Iguchi, the head master of the Urasenke school. He also became acquainted with Taigen Roshi at Daitokuji Temple.
