[3rd Generation] His grandfather built a kiln on Kiyomizuzaka in Kyoto. Born in Kameoka, Kyoto in 1944. In 1962, he inherited Matsuraku as the 3rd generation. He became acquainted with Deguchi Onisaburo and Oda Setsudo (1901-1966), the 11th abbot of Daitokuji Temple (504th head priest), and opened a kiln in Kameoka again in 1961.
He currently studies under the second generation Shoraku.
