The materials used include the traditional Kara-kane copper, sand-coated and molded items, as well as ceramics and curved wooden items.
The most common type of "Efugo" is bag-shaped with an open top.
In addition to these, the tip of a stick, the sheath of a spear, the gourd, the iron basin, the replacement sword, and the large wakizashi are all collectively known as the Seven Types of Water Sinking Tool.
●What is Owakizashi? The original is a water kettle owned by Rikyu, made of yellow Seto and cylindrical with a single mouth, and is also written as "Owakizashi."
It is large, measuring four inches in height, four and a half inches in diameter, and three inches in thickness, and is so named because it never leaves one's side.
It was sent to the Shibayama Inspectorate by Sen no Rikyu, and later returned to Shoan, where Sotan inscribed the box with "Rikyu Owakisashi" and, during the time of Goshin Soza, it was presented to the Kishu Tokugawa family, and later inscribed by Ryoryousai.
