● What is a Fuchidaka? It is a formal main confectionery container that replaces a confectionery bowl. It is shaped like a tray with a raised rim, and is usually made into a set of five, with a lid (soubu) on top.
Place the sweets one by one in a single layer, stack them one by one for the number of guests, place a lid on top and place a black lettering on top.
It is an abbreviation of Fuchidaka Orishiki and is called Fuchidakaju.
The basic style is a lacquered rim with a high edge called the Rikyu style, with a 5-inch square shape and a rim with a height of 2.5 inches and cut corners, and a cord and stitching.
In addition to Shin-nuri, there are also Ikkan, Tamuke-nuri, Hida, Shunkei, and other types, as well as those with watermarks, cut foil, and maki-e. There are also products with different sizes.
