In 1926, he learned how to make braziers and bottle hangers at a foundry in the city. In 1938, he became independent and started his own business (manufacturing flower vases, etc.).
In 1948, he devoted himself to tea ceremony utensils and flower vases. In 1977, he became a Takaoka City crafts holder. In 1985, he was selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. In 1990, he was selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. Since then, he has continued to study tea ceremony utensils and flower vases.
