●Shikiita (round board) is a circular board that is placed under a brazier.
It is said to be a large board made into a round shape, generally measuring 1 shaku 1 sun in diameter and 7.5 rin in thickness, and is available in shin-nuri and kagome-nuri finishes, with the shin-nuri finish said to be preferred by Sho'o.
It is also written as a circular plate and is called a small round plate.
In the Omotesenke school, the seventh generation Joshinsai Tennen Soza favored Kagoe-nuri lacquering for Ryukyu Furano.
In the Urasenke school, there are cypress wood lacquer and kakiawase lacquer styles favored by the 9th head priest, Fukensai Sekio Soshitsu, and blue lacquer and red lacquer styles favored by the 13th head priest, Ennosai, which are used on copper square furo and Ryukyu furo.
The floor boards are classified into large, small and round boards according to their shape, and there are various boards depending on the type of furo, style and preference, such as shin-nuri (shin-nuri), kakiawase (kakiawase), arame (arame), kanname (kanname), etc. There are also ceramic floor tiles.
