[Third Generation (real name Yoshiharu)]
Born in Kyoto in 1954
In 1970, he studied under the first and second generations of Chikuhosai.
In 1980, he became independent and continued to study under Chikuhosai II.
In 1997, he took on the name of the 3rd Chikuhosai. In 1998, he was selected for the Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition. He is skilled in the technique of Ajiro-gaeshi-nuki-ami, and is able to carry out all the processes from bamboo splitting, basket weaving, dyeing, and wiping lacquer.
