[Kuroda Soden III] Bamboo craftsman Born in Kyoto in 1941. Studied and studied under his father. In 1962, he took on the name Soden III. In 1967, he was given the title of Chikuken by the head priest of Kenninji Temple, Takeda Masuyoshi.

[The 12th Horiuchi Sokan Kenchusai]
He graduated from the Faculty of Science at Kyoto Imperial University and is known for his unique style of tea ceremony (the current master, Bunmeisai, also graduated from the Faculty of Science at Kyoto University).
1919- Late Showa to Heisei era tea ceremony master [Omotesenke school Horiuchi family 12th head Sokan (religious name: Kanechusai; after retirement: Soshin)]
Born January 20, 1920 (name Yoshihiko) Hermitage name of the Horiuchi family (Chosho-an head priest)
After his elder brother, the 11th head of the Omotesenke school, suddenly passed away, he studied under the 13th head of the Omotesenke school, Sen Soza. In 1953, he took on the name Sokan. In 1997, he passed on the name Sokan to his elder brother's eldest son, Bunmeisai, and took the name Soshin. To commemorate his 90th birthday, he made a standing table [Kenchuusai's Sotsuju-ko Matsu-to: with pine filigree on the side].
