●Kuwabara...Written in kanji, it is written as "Kuwabara."
・Charm to prevent lightning strikes
・Charms and prayers to avoid disasters and bad things
The origin of this legend is that after the death of Sugawara no Michizane, people at the Imperial Court who were involved in his demotion died under mysterious circumstances.
Natural disasters occurred one after another, and lightning struck the city of Kyoto, and people began to whisper, "Could this lightning be the vengeful spirit of Sugawara no Michizane?"
However, at this time, "Kuwabara, the hometown of Sugawara no Michizane, was the only place that was not struck by lightning."
In the blink of an eye, the people of Kyoto began praying towards the land of Kuwabara, chanting "Kuwabara...Kuwabara..." to avoid thunder.
After this, Sugawara no Michizane was enshrined as the god of thunder.
