●Summer Clouds and Many Strange Peaks…The summer clouds rise high, and it looks like a row of strange peaks. A typical summer scene.
●White Clouds Embracing Mysterious Stones...A heavenly scene in which a mysterious mountain of huge stones is enveloped in soft, gentle white clouds.
A relationship that is grand, yet soft and warm, with a sense of compassion. When there are no restrictions around you and your heart is free, what will you embrace? (Poem by Hanshan)
●White clouds come and go of their own accord...White clouds are a metaphor for delusions and worldly desires, and the meaning is that even though the clouds appear one after another and come and go mindlessly, the mountain remains where it was originally.
●A fresh breeze rises from the bamboo leaves (A fresh breeze rises from the bamboo leaves/A fresh breeze rises from the bamboo leaves/A fresh breeze rises from the bamboo leaves) [takeyouyoseifu okosu]…From the verse “The bamboo is yours, and a fresh breeze rises” in “Kyodo Roku,” this depicts the bamboo sending out a cool breeze.
By removing the presence of humans, the piece more succinctly expresses the refreshing freshness of a bamboo forest.
