●清風拂明月（清風払明月）[せいふうめいげつをはらう]…清らかな風が明月を払い清め、清らかな風もまた明月の白き光に払い清められる。
澄みきった秋の夜空に明月が掛かり、清らかな風が颯颯と吹きすぎる情景を詠じた、秋の季節にふさわしい名句。
『禅語字彙』に「本體が作用となり、作用が本體となりて、一方に固定せざるをいふ」とある。

【14代 而妙斎】 表千家
昭和13年生まれ
13代 即中斎家元の長男
昭和42年に大徳寺の方谷浩明老師館長より、「而妙斎」の号を与えられ宗員となる
昭和54年 即中斎の死去により、昭和55年2月28日、に14代 宗左を襲名する
平成02年 利休400年忌を迎え、法要を営み茶事を催す
平成30年02月28日 代を譲り、隠居名 宗旦を名乗る
