[Takugan Kobori] Kohoan
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1931.
In 1953, he began training under the 17th head priest of Koboan, a subtemple of Daitokuji Temple, under the name of Kobori Sanemichi.
In 1967, he became the 18th chief priest of Kohoan.
In 2000, he served as the Chief Director of Daitokuji Temple.
In 2009, he became the 525th person to be reincarnated.

[Kohōan] Daitokuji School
It was founded in 1612, the 17th year of the Keicho era, when Kobori Enshu built this hermitage within Ryukoin Temple.
The founder was the teacher Kogetsu Sogan from Enshu.
The hermitage name "Kohō" means "lonely boat," and was bestowed upon him by Shun'oku Soen, who was the teacher of Kobori Masakazu (Enshū).
