[2nd Generation Makatsu Kosai 5th Generation Miyagawa Kosai]
Born in Tokyo in 1992
1946 (Showa 21) Entered the National Ceramics Research Institute as a trainee.
In 1969, he became the adopted son-in-law of the 4th generation Kosai.
In 1972, he took on the name of the 5th Miyagawa Kosai and was awarded the Shinkatsu seal by the 13th Omotesenke master Jokuchuusai Soza. He took on the name of the 2nd Shinkatsu Kosai.
