In 1902, the first generation, Zuiho (Toyo), was born in Gifu Prefecture. In 1917, he started working in Seto City, manufacturing and selling ceramics. In 1923, he founded the predecessor Nishio Shoten. In 1939, he moved to Yokkaichi and specialized in flower vases and tea ware. 1941: Born the 2nd generation Zuiho (Yuchi) 1952: Studied under the first generation 1955: First Nihon Gei Ten held, and has since won multiple awards, including the Minister of Education Award and the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award 1960: 3rd generation Born in 1983, Zuiho (Nobushige) was succeeded by Yuichi as the second master. After training in Osaka, Shigenobu studied under the second master in 1990. Even after the Nitto Geijutsu Exhibition ended, Shigenobu continued to train young artists. In 2001, he succeeded the name of Shigenobu 3rd (still practicing today).
