[3rd generation Makatsu Kosai/6th generation Miyagawa Kosai]
Born in Kyoto in 1944 (Showa 19)
1970: Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture
In 1976, he joined the Shinkuzu Kiln in Kyoto and became an assistant to the fifth generation Miyagawa Kosai.
January 2002: Succeeded to the name of the 6th generation Miyagawa Kosai
In the same year, he received the Shinkuzu seal from Master Takada Myoho of the Ryushoji Reiunshitsu Buddhist monks' hall at Daitokuji Temple. He uses it in his work.
