In 1958, the Emperor and Empress visited Toyama Prefecture, and the work was presented to them by the Mayor of Takaoka.
In 1961, the Crown Prince and Princess Suzue visited Toyama Prefecture, and the work was presented to them by the Mayor of Takaoka.
1973: Received the Encouragement Award at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and the Japan Crafts Chairman's Award at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
April 1978: Received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Fourth Class
In 1982, he took on the name of the second Shunsai and passed away in 2007.
Master: First Shunsei
He is a director of the Japan Kogei Association and the head of the Toyama branch of the association.
2010: His son succeeded him as the third generation
