Studied under his teacher Masahiko Katori, his uncle Hikobei Sasaki VI, and his father Sanezo
In 1971, he received the Encouragement Award at the Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition.
1978: Supervising judge for the Musashino Traditional Crafts Exhibition
Published the book "Cha no yu kettle"
1990: Awarded the Purple Ribbon Medal
1998: Awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Fourth Class, Gold Rays with Rosette
2002: Production of the temple bell for Kotoku Zenji Temple
2004: Production of the Manmanji Temple bell
