Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art, Department of Industrial Design in 1960
Learn the basic techniques of Kaga Maki-e from Professor Emeritus Yoshimitsu Komatsu
Learn about the design philosophy of harmony between functionality and beauty from Professor Sori Yanagi
After graduating, he studied under his father, Sensai, and also received instruction in the tea ceremony process from tea masters in Kyoto and Kanazawa.
In 1986, he succeeded the second Sensai.
In 1989, the first Ishikawa lacquer bowl was produced under the supervision of a Living National Treasure to commemorate the Ishikawa National Athletic Meet.
Currently a member of the Kaga Art Association
Member of the Ishikawa Nikakai Society
A member of the Omotesenke Kisshokai Association. As a lacquer artist, he is skilled in all aspects of lacquering.
