●Takatsuki refers to a bowl- or dish-shaped vessel with legs.
Takahai were originally earthenware vessels for serving food with a circular wooden base placed underneath; those with a built-in earthenware base were called dotakahai, and later came to be made of wood or lacquer.
There are also ceramics that imitate this style.
