[3rd Generation] Isseido Tea Ceremony Metalwork Artist
Resides in Nagoya City
Born in 1920
In the past, Isseido's black-knotted kettle was made by first creating the shape of the kettle using the "squeezing" technique.
The pieces are polished with magnolia charcoal, colored by boiling in copper sulfate, and finished by smoking with pine needles.
The succession was continued by the first generation, Saito Keijiro, followed by the second generation, Ito Masajiro, and the third generation, Ito Hikoichi.
