In 1974, he received the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency's Excellence Award. In 1992, he took on the name of Kimura Seigoro II.
In 2009, he perfected the "Warikan" by combining traditional techniques with new methods. He took on the name Seiun at Nanryo products.
