Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1948. Studied under the first Kimura Seigoro in 1973. Produced the Nanryo Square Tray with Kimura Seigoro in 1978, and won the Nihon Geijutsu Exhibition Award. Produced the Nanryo Spear Plum Water Jug in 1983. Became independent in 1985, and worked as an apprentice in the silversmithing department. Received the name Seiun from Kimura in 1998, and has been honing his craft since then in the production of Nanryo products.
