It is said that it was located at Kodaiji Temple in the past, and the current kiln is the Kodaiji Oniwa-yaki kiln, which was opened by the previous chief priest, Goto Myodo.
[Oniwa ware]
This is Kodaiji's garden ware, made at the Mandokoro Kiln, which was built by Goto Akimichi at Entoku-in temple. Entoku-in is a historic temple where Kita no Mandokoro moved to enshrine Toyotomi Hideyoshi's soul.
The Mandokoro Kiln was produced at Entoku-in Temple and has the "Mandokoro Kiln" pottery seal on the side of the foot.
