- The furnace ash is sifted through a sieve with 30 or 40 mesh to remove large particles of residue.

2. Add water to the sifted ash, mix, leave for a while, and then pour off the top layer. Repeat this process about five times.

3. Dry the ashes (in the sun)
Spread it out on a straw mat and leave it to dry in the sun.
