1941 (Showa 16) Received certification as a Shigaraki ware technology preserver from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
In 1960, he won the Grand Prix at the Brussels World Exposition and was selected to exhibit at the Top Ten Japanese Ceramics Exhibition in Denmark.
In 1964, Showa 39, it was designated as an intangible cultural asset by Shiga Prefecture.
1971 (Showa 46) Received the Best Skilled Worker Award from the Minister of Labor.

Born in Shigaraki in 1954 (Showa 29)
1974 (Showa 49) After graduating from the Kyoto Prefectural Potters' Training School and the Shiga Prefectural Ceramic Research Institute, he studied pottery making under his father, Rakusai IV.
1975 (Showa 50) Founded the Goyokai under Professor Toyozo Arakawa
Exhibited at the Goyokai Exhibition at Osaka Takashimaya in 1984. Held 10 solo exhibitions at Osaka Takashimaya since then.
Held numerous solo exhibitions around the country
September 2010: Heisei 22: He took on the name of Godai Rakusai at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi department store.
At the same time, he received instruction from Professor Kazue Hyoko and Professor Kato Tansai.
