[Haruhiko Niikura]
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1954 (Showa 29).
1979: Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Legislative Design
1983: Invited to exhibit at the 2nd Contemporary Art Festival hosted by the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art
1987 (Showa 62) Exhibited a lighting object at the Hannover Messe in West Germany.
1987: Exhibited at the "Japanese Studio Glass" exhibition at the Heller Gallery in New York
1990: Exhibited at the "Japanese Glass Exhibition"
1993: Exhibited at the "Japanese Glass Exhibition"
1994: Exhibited at the International Glass Art Exhibition (IGS;94)
1996: Exhibited at the "Japanese Glass Exhibition"
1997 Selected for the International Glass Art Festival in Hsinchu, Taiwan
1999: Created the outdoor monument "Gulliver's Chair" at Kobe Shinkaichi Portpia
1999: Won the Members' Award at the '99 Japanese Glass Exhibition
Held numerous solo exhibitions
Currently Representative Director of Nara Glass Studio (PAL Co., Ltd.)
Member of the Japan Glass Crafts Association
