Born in 1952 in Taga, Ide-cho, Tsuzuku-gun, Kyoto Prefecture
1969 (Showa 44) Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School
He studied under his teacher, the first generation, Yoshimitsu Kato, and became independent in 2001.
1982 (Showa 57) 25th Overglaze Ceramic Art Exhibition, Mayor's Award
1987: Won the Kyoto Ceramic Design Protection Association Award at the 30th Overglaze Ceramic Art Exhibition
1991: Won the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman's Award and the Tachiyoshi Award at the 33rd Overglaze Ceramic Art Exhibition
1993: Won a prize at the 30th Touekai 30th Anniversary Exhibition
1998: Won the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman's Award at the 40th Overglaze Ceramic Art Exhibition
