[Kiba Koen] Female writer (studied under Miyagawa Koun before going independent)
Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1950
1972: Completed the design course at the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School
Teacher: Studied under Koun Miyagawa
1981: Graduated from the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute Ceramics Department
In 1982, he established the Kazan Kiln and became independent.
Selected for the Kyoto Prefecture Craft Industry Technology Competition in 1992 and has been selected every year since 2009
Since then, he has been studying on his own, producing and studying tea ware, focusing on colored enamel.
