- Large Natsume Autumn Field Makie
- During the Momoyama period, autumn grass maki-e was popularly used for a variety of items.
Rikyu applied this to a natsume (Japanese tea container), with pampas grass, bush clover, wild chrysanthemums and other flowers beautifully painted all over the outside and inside of the container, and large and small circles representing dew, all painted in gold lacquer.
This was made with urushi lacquer.
