What is a major specialty?
Among tools, those with a long history and excellent reputation are called meibutsu, and those from before Rikyu, especially those from the Higashiyama period, are called daimeibutsu.
Higashiyama Gyobutsu is a prime example.

Born in 1965 in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture
1984: Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training School
In 2000, he retired from Eiraku Zengoro (a pottery manufacturer) and became independent.
