In 2000, he was selected for the Kenrokuen Grand Tea Ceremony Crafts Exhibition with his "Moon Rabbit Makie Large Natsume"
Since then, his lacquerware works for tea caddies and incense containers have won prizes every year at the Kenrokuen Grand Tea Ceremony Crafts Exhibition.
He is currently honing his craft with the motto, "The plane is the best for the raw material, and the plane is the best for the skill of the woodworker."
