Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Osaka City University.
Grandfather: Master Kutani ware craftsman "Ungai"
Teacher Father Kyoto artist/Nitten artist Kansai Totsuji
Studied Japanese painting under Michio Ikeda
He was taught pottery by his father, Kansai, and used his Japanese painting techniques to create delicate, painting-style Kyoto-style tea ware.
