The name Ikkyu Kiln was chosen after the Zen master Ikkyu from Tanabe.
Born in 1952 in Idecho, Tsuzukugun, Kyoto Prefecture
1969 (Showa 44) Today I graduated from the Prefectural Pottery Vocational Training School
Studied under the first generation, Mr. Josui Kato
2000: Established an independent kiln in Tanabe, Kyoto.
