Born in Sennyuji Temple, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto in 1963
1982: Enrolled in the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Training Institute
1983: Entered the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Testing Institute and graduated from the specialized course.
After graduating in 1985, he continued to learn ceramic molding techniques under Professor Katsuro Kitamura at the same school.
Certified as a traditional craftsman in 2008
