1711 (first year of the Shōtoku era) Opened kiln in Awata
In 1805 (Bunka 2), he was allowed to enter the Shoren-in Palace as a potter for the Awataguchi Imperial Palace.
Received the inscription "Gyouzan"
In 1877, the 10th year of the Meiji era, the main branch of the Gyozan family was about to become extinct.
Omiya Chobei inherits the business as Okada Kyozan
1886 (Meiji 19) Founded the Tatsumi Association in the Gojo area and established a ceramics collection center on Gojozaka.
In 1902 (Meiji 35), Nishiki kiln was built and overglaze painting processing and sales began. Exports began overseas.
After World War II, the seventh generation Kyozan focused on exports and spread Kyozan branded Kyoto Satsuma ware overseas.
1993: Succeeded to the current 8th generation
He was appointed as the official potter for the Shoren-in Palace Awataguchi Imperial Palace and was awarded the name "Kyozan".
