How to use Koshi ware tea utensils
・This Koshi ware piece has crazing (fine cracks in the paint) on the surface, so if it is a matcha tea bowl, please soak it in cold or lukewarm water before use to allow the crazing to become fully moist. When you use it for the first time, you may hear a cracking sound, but this is the sound of the paint cracking (crazing) on the surface, so there is no change to the vessel itself, so there is nothing to worry about.
・Koushi ware is fired at low heat (about 800 degrees).
When washing, using hard objects (such as a scrubbing brush, metal scrubbing brush, or nylon scrubbing brush) may scratch the surface, so please use a soft object (such as a cotton cloth).
・Please be careful not to use bleaching chemicals or detergents as this may cause discoloration.
・Koushi ware may be sensitive to acid.
