Born in Kyoto in 1948 (Showa 23)
1964 (Showa 39) At the age of 15, he started studying porcelain under Miyagawa Kosei.
Trained as a painter for about 38 years
Studied under Hirota Tatsu and Shiomi Jiro
2002: Opened kiln in Hino-no-sato, Kyoto
In 2003, he established his own kiln and named it Houen.
Style: Specializes in Ninsei and Kenzan copies and brocade
