Year 1967: Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Potter Vocational Training Institute
Studied under Fukuda Shosai (Rikisaburo) and his father
Winner of numerous awards
1993: Exhibited at the Contemporary Kyoto Ware and Kiyomizu Ware Exhibition in Paris
1996 Received the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award
1996: Certified as a traditional craftsman of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki
1997: Arbitration committee member for the Kyoto Ceramic Design Protection Association
In the same year, he became director of the Kyoto Ue (colored painting) Ceramics Cooperative Association.
1999: Won the Kyoto Mayor's Award at the 41st Kyoto Colored Ceramics Exhibition
In the same year, he became a director of the Kyoto Ceramic Association.
2000: Director of the Kyoto Ceramic Design Protection Association
2003: Received the Kyoto Mayor's Award at the 25th Kyoyaki and Kiyomizuyaki Exhibition
In the same year, he received the Traditional Craft Industry Merit Award.
