Hello, this is Imaya Shizukaen.
This year, the beginning of spring is February 3rd, and Setsubun is February 2nd.
This will be the first time in 124 years since February 2, 1897 (Meiji 30) that Setsubun will fall on the 2nd.
This is the first time in 37 years since February 4, 1984 that a statue has passed away within three days.
Today we would like to introduce the Fukuwarai Fuku no ji matcha tea bowl by Mizuide Soken.

[Mizude Song Aya (real name Masaru)] Anshu Kiln
Born in Kyoto in 1948 (Showa 23)
1969 (Showa 44) Trained as a potter under his uncle, Eiho Kato
1972 (Showa 47) Graduated from the Prefectural Pottery Training School
1977 (Showa 52) Opened kiln in Yamashina, Kyoto
1979 (Showa 54) Collaborative exhibition with Master Kiyomizu Kosho of Todaiji Temple
1980 (Showa 55) Climbed and built a kiln in Hanase, Rakuhoku
